Islamic Studies Level 6 part 1 book mainly focuses on the concept of worship in Islam, the purpose and role of the messengers and the values of tolerance and diversity. Topics in the Level 6 book are diverse and are presented with greater detail. After gaining basic knowledge about the essential principles of the faith and the six pillars of Islam in the previous books, the student is introduced in this book to the Islamic concept of ‘ibadah’ (worship) in a relatively greater depth. Units one and two discuss the sacredness of the Ka’bah as the first house of worship and the importance of the Masjed as the house of Allah. Units three and four focus on the messengers of strong will (Ulul-‘Azm) and the purpose of Prophets and their mission. Units five and six discuss the concept and types of worship in detail with a particular focus on the meaning of ‘ihsaan’. Finally, units seven and eight discuss the values of tolerance and diversity form an Islamic perspective.
