Islamic Studies Level 7 Part 2 is suitable for children of age 10-14, ideally for year seven students. The book consists of 8 units (units 9-16), building upon and continuing from the topics covered in book 7 part 1. It covers a variety of important topics and assumes that students have studied the previous books of this series, completed their primary study at an Islamic school or have basic knowledge of Islamic studies, particularly with regards to ‘Aqeedah (beliefs), Fiqh and Quran and Sunnah studies. Unit nine provides a relatively detailed account of the Hijrah (migration) of the Prophet ﷺ from Makkah to Madinah. Unit ten discusses the importance of and power of Shukr (gratitude to Allah) for success and happiness in this life and the next. In unit eleven, the Islamic teachings with regards to Birrul-Walidain (Kindness to Parents) is emphasized and discussed. Unit twelve provides important guidance on how to control and supress the feelings of anger according to the Quranic injunctions and the Prophetic teachings. Unit thirteen discusses the foundations of the Islamic Civilization and establishment of the first Muslim society in Madinah after the Hijrah of the Prophet ﷺ. The death of the Prophet (PBUH) and the establishment of the Islamic Caliphate or the process of succession is discussed in unit fourteen. Unit fifteen continues the discussion of the development of Islamic Civilization focussing on the reign of Abu Bakr (RA), the First Rightly Guided Caliph in Islam. Finally, unit sixteen concludes with the discussion of the expansion of the Islamic Civilization during the reign of the Second Rightly Guided Caliph, Omar ibn Al-Khattab (RA).
