Islamic Studies Level 8 Part 1 is suitable for children aged 11 to 15 years, ideally for year eight students. This book covers a variety of important topics and assumes that students have studied the previous books of this series or have basic knowledge of Islamic studies, particularly with regards to ‘Aqeedah (beliefs), Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence) and Quran. At this level, the topics are discussed with greater depth and detail than the previous levels. Unit one discusses the Islamic view towards the universe, life, and human being. In unit two, the belief in Yaum Al-Qiyaamah (day of judgement) is explained and discussed. Units three and four expand on the topics of the major signs of the final hour and the barzakh (the grave and what happens after death) as well as the events of judgement day. The concepts of Al-Qadaa and Al-Qadar (predestination or divine decree) and human free will are introduced and discussed in detail. Unit six emphasizes the value of time in Islam and how to manage time successfully. The book concludes with important discussions about women in Islam and other civilizations (unit 7) and the foundations and purpose of the family in Islam (unit 8).
